We have talked about the Assisi Loop® before, a targeted pulsed electromagnetic field (tPEMF™) device that is FDA cleared in humans for the control of pain and inflammation. The Loop is a veterinary product that has been around since 2014. It is a product that is familiar to cat owners.

Happily, at the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) earlier this month, Assisi Animal Health introduced the Assisi Loop Lounge™; a therapy pad of multiple coils, powered by the Assisi Loop’s patented technology. The Loop Lounge accelerates healing and reduces inflammation. It also alleviates pain. It can be recharged via a simple controller box. The batteries should be charged after 60 treatments. They can last for up to four years or 6,000 cycles before they need to be replaced.

The Loop Lounge was created with cats in mind! It addresses three of the most difficult problems we face: getting our cats to the veterinarian safely, avoiding drug side effects, and eliminating the problem of pilling.

The Loop Lounge was designed to fit inside the Sleepypod® Air or Atom carriers. It extends to the length of the carriers, and provides a 10 inch treatment depth. With this, our cats are assured treatment from nose to tip of tail and from toes to tips of ears…truly complete body care. Sleepypod’s safety-certified carriers are well-known and have received the TICA seal. The Assisi Loop Lounge is available as a “bundle” meaning Loop Lounge and carrier, or for those of us who already own these particular Sleepypod carriers, it can be obtained as a separate accessory. Reminder: All Assisi Loop products need a prescription. You will need to visit your vet.

The Loop Lounge and Sleepypod carriers have teamed up to make it easy for people who are constantly on the move and like to bring their cats along. It ensures that our cats can travel in safety and in their favorite spot while receiving pain management.

Veterinary professionals were able to pick up copies of the Introduction to the Assisi Loop Medical Use Guide while at AAFP. It contains over 40 treatment options for nearly 300 inflammatory conditions in cats and dogs. To obtain this guide, call your vet. (1-866-830-7342, ext. 0.)  Learn more about the Loop Lounge.
